Ms. Neema Mwanga, the registrar of NGOs and her team from the Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender, Elderly and children, Dodoma visited Elimu Mwangaza among the four organizations selected in Kilimanjaro. The main objective was to learn the role of NGOs and their contribution to government efforts.

Being the first experience to host such a big visit we were able to share and demonstrate our work. Ms.Neema Mwanga praised our professionalism and the good work we are doing to address child abuse, violence, and exploitation. We also shared our new project that will address adolescent girls challenges. 

'' I like how you develop evidence-based programme'' Ms.Neema Mwanga, the NGOs registrar from the Ministry.

In her remark, she added that much as the financial resources are scarce, we should consider scaling up our programme to other areas to address issues of child abuse, strengthen community-based child protection mechanisms to protect the hard to reach communities.

Moreover, she reminded that NGOs should ensure that they comply with the NGOs Act and its regulations and code of conduct. Also, sending Annual Report to the authority and highlight challenges to enable the government to address gaps in child protection systems and procedures.
